Description
You are watching a video, reading a long page or typing, and the pointer sits in the middle of the screen like a speck of dust on the picture. Moving it away means touching the mouse again. AutoHideMouseCursor hands that chore to a program: stop moving the mouse for a few seconds and the cursor disappears, move it and it is back, with nothing for you to do.
All the settings live in one small window. Drag a slider to choose how many seconds of stillness before hiding, and a progress bar at the bottom shows the time left. Tick the option to hide when a key is pressed and the cursor steps aside as soon as you start typing, so it never sits on the text you are entering. It can stay in the system tray or start with Windows. The whole program is a single file of about 150 KB, offered free by Nenad Hrg of SoftwareOK, and this entry is the no install x64 portable build.
Hide when idle: the cursor vanishes after the mouse has been still for the set number of seconds and returns the moment you move it
Adjustable delay: a slider sets the idle seconds, and a countdown bar in the window shows the effect right away
Hide on key press: when ticked, any key press tucks the cursor away so it does not cover what you type
Tray and autostart: minimize to the system tray or run at Windows startup, then forget about it
Always on top: the settings window can be pinned above other windows while you tune it
Multilingual interface: the LNG menu switches the interface language, Simplified Chinese included
Portable: runs straight from the unzipped folder with no installer, so it can ride on a USB drive
