Cent Browser

Cent Browser

Feature rich Chromium browser

Description

A stock Chromium browser works, but a few handy things are always missing: closing a tab with a double click, drawing a gesture with the right button to turn a page, dragging selected text straight into a search. Each one means hunting through the extension store for something that may not fit. Cent Browser builds these in: it runs on Chromium and ships with mouse gestures, Super Drag and a scrollable tab bar out of the box, with the same web compatibility as mainstream browsers.

The settings go deep. Tabs can close on double click, pinned tabs can be limited to the context menu, and you choose where new tabs open and which tab becomes active after closing one. In the mouse gesture panel the action for each direction is editable, such as page up, back, or a corner stroke to open a new tab or restore a closed one. A portable build is offered on the official site, and there is a long list of shortcuts such as Alt+C to copy the URL and Ctrl+Shift+A for a screenshot.

Features

Mouse gestures: hold the right button and move to go back, forward, page up or down and open or close tabs, with a custom action per direction plus adjustable trace color and weight

Super Drag: drag selected text or a link to search or open it, and it pairs well with mouse gestures

Tab tuning: double click to close, switch tabs with the wheel, set a minimum tab width and show a list button for hidden tabs, each adjustable to your habits

Scrollable tab bar: with many tabs open they do not shrink to bare icons, and the overflow can be scrolled or picked from a list

Private tab and privacy options: a private tab and related settings leave less behind on the machine

Portable edition: besides the installer there is a no install portable build, so your browser and its settings can ride on a USB drive

Rich shortcuts: copy the URL, save as PDF, save the page as an image, take a screenshot or mute a tab with a key combination
