PingPlotter Free

Traceroute and Packet Loss Monitor

Description

The game stutters, video calls break up, and the ISP only says everything looks fine on their side. PingPlotter Free puts the evidence on screen: it keeps tracing the route from you to any address, whether a website, a VoIP provider or a game server, and records latency and packet loss at every hop so you can see which segment is failing.

Enter a target and start tracing. A live graph plots latency over time and marks where packets are lost. Before you begin you can set how many samples to take, the delay between samples in seconds and how many samples the graph keeps. Results can be exported as images or copied to the clipboard when you need a record.

Features

Continuous route tracing: It traces the address you choose over and over, not just once.

Per-hop data: Each hop lists packet loss percentage, minimum, maximum, average and current latency, plus its IP address and DNS name.

Live graph: Latency is drawn as a curve over time, so jitter and gaps are far easier to spot than in raw numbers.

Adjustable settings: Choose the sample count, the interval in seconds and how many samples appear in the graph.

Export and copy: Save results as PNG, GIF or BMP, and copy text or images to the clipboard to paste straight to your ISP.
