FreeControl2

FreeControl2

Control Android from your PC

Description

Your phone screen is tiny, and replying to messages, debugging an app or recording a demo means hunching over it. scrcpy fixes that, but only if you enjoy typing a long string of flags every time you plug in a different device.

FreeControl2 wraps scrcpy in a proper desktop GUI. Turn on USB debugging, plug in or enter an IP and port for WiFi, and the phone shows up in a list. From there you drive it with your mouse and keyboard, with nothing installed on the phone and no root. The sidebar groups video, audio, control, recording and window settings into sliders and dropdowns, so you never have to remember what `--max-fps` does.

Several phones can be connected at once, each with its own bitrate and frame rate, which is handy for course recording, live demos and multi-device testing.

Features

Wired or wireless: plug in over USB, or connect by IP and port on the same network.

Smooth mirroring: up to 60 fps, and on Android 11 or later the phone's audio plays on the PC in sync.

Screenshots and recording: grab the screen or record it to a video file on your computer.

Drag-and-drop APK install: drop an APK onto the mirror window and it installs, no command line needed for repeated test builds.

File transfer: copy documents and photos both ways, in batches if you like.

Per-device settings: every device keeps its own bitrate, frame rate and resolution.

Presentation options: always-on-top window, turn off the phone screen, read-only mode and custom shortcuts.

Themes and logs: light and dark themes, plus a log of connections, recordings and transfers for troubleshooting.
