ASAP Utilities

ASAP Utilities

Excel productivity toolbox

Description

Rename 30 worksheets, split one master sheet into dozens of files by a column, add an index page with jump links to every tab: in plain Excel that is either sore-wrist clicking or a macro you have to write yourself. Install ASAP Utilities and the ribbon gains an ASAP Utilities tab where most of these chores already have a ready command that runs in one click.

Commands are grouped by what they act on: sheets, rows and columns, numbers and dates, text, formulas, import and export. Each can be called with a keyboard shortcut, and you can add your own hotkeys. This entry is the Home & Student edition, currently version 9.3, a roughly 30 MB installer that you download from the official site.

Features

Bulk sheet operations: rename several sheets at once, name them from cell values, sort all sheets alphabetically, and unhide or protect many of them in one go.

Index page: generates a table of contents with clickable links to every worksheet in the workbook.

Split and export: split a range into separate worksheets by column value or row count, or save sheets out as standalone Excel, PDF, TXT or CSV files.

Organised command library: covers rows, columns, objects, comments, numbers, dates, text and formulas; there are many commands, but the categories keep them easy to find.

Hotkeys: every function can be triggered from the keyboard, and custom hotkeys are supported, so frequent actions skip the menus.
