Description
Buying a used card, checking whether a driver install really took, wondering if a game's OpenGL requirement is met: the stock Windows display properties answer none of that. GPU Caps Viewer detects the card on launch and lays out the model, memory, shader count, clocks, temperature, fan speed and driver version on one page.
It goes beyond reading numbers. OpenGL, CUDA and OpenCL each get their own tab with exact version and extension details, and the bottom of the window has a stability test and demo programs for pushing the card hard.
GPU overview: model, memory size and type, shader cores, live core and memory clocks, temperature, fan and power draw at a glance.
API support details: OpenGL, CUDA and OpenCL pages list versions and extensions; the CUDA tab shows compute capability plus block and grid limits.
Stress tests and demos: a built-in OpenGL stability test and a set of OpenGL/OpenCL demos to check the card under heavy load.
Tools tab: driver download links, card reviews and system info for double-checking driver versions.
