Description
A developer Mac mysteriously runs out of disk: Xcode caches, Docker images, simulators, node_modules, Rust target folders, package caches and local AI models quietly eat hundreds of gigabytes. MAC-LIMPO lives in the menu bar, tells you how much each category takes, and cleans it in one click, sending files to the Trash whenever possible so a mistake can be undone.
It also ships a disk X-ray that shows where every gigabyte goes as a 2D or 3D treemap, with file types, a folder tree and a largest-files view to drill into. Free and open source, with no account, subscription or telemetry, it is an alternative to CleanMyMac and DaisyDisk.
Developer cache cleaning: over 40 categories including Xcode, Docker, simulators, node_modules, package caches and AI models, each with its size.
Disk X-ray: 2D and 3D treemaps plus a folder tree to spot the biggest space hogs.
Undoable: cleanups go to the Trash whenever possible instead of being deleted outright.
Lives in the menu bar: a native SwiftUI and AppKit app that scans and cleans from the menu bar.
One-command install: the install script builds locally so there is no quarantine flag and no Gatekeeper warning; requires macOS 27 or later.
