noMeiryoUI

Windows system font changer

Description

Windows 8 quietly removed the Control Panel entry for changing system fonts. If you want a different menu, dialog or icon font, you end up editing the registry, and one wrong key means hunting down what you changed. noMeiryoUI puts it back in one window: one row per piece of UI text and a Choose button next to each.

It changes the system font settings that Win32 and WinForms programs read, so icon labels in file managers, mail lists, dialogs and menus follow along, usually without a restart. The program is a few hundred KB and runs straight from the extracted folder. Back up the registry before applying changes; the archive ships with save and restore batch files.

Features

Per-item fonts: Pick a font and size separately for the title bar, icon text, palette title, active text, dialogs and menus.

One-step unify: Choose a font in the All Fonts row and apply it to everything at once.

Restore defaults: A menu command resets the system fonts to the Windows defaults if you do not like the result.

Registry backup and restore: The archive includes SAVEreg.bat and RESTOREreg.bat so you can save the current settings first.

Multilingual UI: Language files for Chinese, Japanese, English, Korean, Portuguese and more, matched to your system language.
