Description
Long downloads, a meeting you left running, a video you stepped away from — and the Mac dozes off right when you needed it awake. The usual fix is digging into battery settings and remembering to undo it later. DontSleepMac turns that into one click in the menu bar.
It offers two standing modes: display on, and display off while the system stays awake. The first suits things you watch, the second suits jobs you just want to finish. The menu bar icon tells you which one is active, and one click puts the normal sleep behavior back.
Awake with display on: Prevents sleep while keeping the screen lit, so videos and presentations never go dark.
Awake with display off: The screen can turn off as usual, but the Mac itself stays up so downloads, builds and syncs finish.
Menu bar toggle: The icon shows the current state and flips with one click, no trip to System Settings.
Clean restore: Turning it off returns the original sleep behavior with nothing left to change back by hand.
