VBReFormer

VBReFormer

Decompiler and analyzer for VB6 programs

Description

You have a compiled VB6 executable, the source is long gone, and now you need to fix a bug or just understand what it does, with only a hex dump to stare at. VBReFormer is built for exactly that: open the exe and forms, controls and event procedures appear in a project tree, and clicking one shows the matching Visual Basic code, which is far easier to read than raw disassembly.

It keeps several views of the same logic in a row of tabs: VB6 code, disassembly, intermediate representation, designer, bytes and hex, all one click apart, and forms can be rebuilt as .frm designs. It suits developers maintaining legacy systems or doing code analysis and debugging. Licensing terms are set out on the official site.
