Description
A Mac disk fills up out of nowhere, and the built-in storage panel only gives a rough pie chart with no way to drill into which folder or file ate the space. DuckDisk takes the WizTree approach from Windows: a table-first disk analysis that scans the disk and packs every directory size, allocated space, parent percentage, file/folder counts and file-type totals into one dense tree table, so you see at a glance where space went.
It scans more than local disks: OneDrive, Google Drive and SSH remote paths too, reading only file metadata in the cloud without downloading contents, so it stays fast and light. Find a big file and drag it out to delete, or move cloud files to provider trash (recoverable). Built with Tauri, Rust and React, native macOS, arm64, AGPL open source.
WizTree-style table: A dense tree table showing directory sizes, allocated space, parent percentage, file/folder counts and file-type totals at once.
Local + cloud + remote: Scans local disks, OneDrive, Google Drive and SSH remote paths in one app.
Metadata-only: Cloud analysis reads only file metadata without downloading contents, with incremental refresh and a local cache for speed.
Drag-to-delete cleanup: Drag out results from local, OneDrive and Google Drive; cloud deletions move to trash and are recoverable.
Handles huge directories: Virtualized result tables stay responsive even with very many rows.
Native integration: Reveal folders in Finder, Full Disk Access support; built with Tauri, Rust and React, AGPL open source.
