Microsoft's GraphRAG works well but its codebase is massive and hard to adapt. nano-graphrag is a simple, easy-to-hack GraphRAG implementation in around a thousand lines.
It keeps knowledge graph building and global and local retrieval, with swappable LLMs, vector stores and graph databases.
