Description
When a food plant is told to provide batch traceability, the usual answer is a spreadsheet and handwritten labels. The day something goes wrong and you need to know which customers received a given batch, that answer costs a full day of digging and still misses things.
Commander4j is a traceability system built around SSCC pallet labels. Every pallet leaving the line carries a unique code, and production declaration, weight checks, put-away and despatch are all recorded against it, so you can trace back to raw materials or forward to customers at any point. It is written in Java, runs on Windows, Linux and macOS, and stores data in MySQL, Oracle or SQL Server. Source and documentation are fully open.
