You want a few clicks of noise out of a recording and the levels evened out. Audacity can do it, but every effect is apply-then-listen, undo, try again — an EQ tweak turns into a dozen round trips.

ocenaudio does it with real-time effect preview: open the EQ or filter dialog and you hear the processed audio while dragging the controls. A miniature waveform sits in the dialog so you can loop just the part you care about. Apply once it sounds right.

Multi-selection is the other trick: Ctrl-drag several regions on the waveform and apply an effect to all of them at once. Big files are fine — hours-long recordings open, scroll and zoom without lag, and the spectrogram view shows where the noise actually is.
