You want a record of where you have been without giving Google your location history. Colota is an Android GPS tracker that sends your location to your own server, working with Dawarich, Home Assistant, OwnTracks, Traccar and other backends.
It records offline and syncs later, supports geofencing, and has no analytics, telemetry or third-party SDKs under AGPL-3.0.
