UltraUXThemePatcher

You download one of those good looking Windows themes from DeviantArt, double click the .theme file, and only the wallpaper changes while the window style stays put, because Windows loads only visual styles signed by Microsoft. UltraUXThemePatcher is the patch that opens that door: it detects the system build and replaces the signature check in uxtheme.dll, themeui.dll and uxinit.dll, after which any .msstyles theme applies.

The process is a wizard: system information and the files to be modified are shown first, a restore point can be created, originals are backed up automatically and the uninstaller restores them with one click. It is a 160 KB single file supporting Windows XP through the current Windows 11 26H2 and Insider builds. The author is explicit that modifying system files carries risk and that major Windows updates require patching again.
