Description
Frames drop in a game and the frame counter cannot tell you whether you hit a thermal wall, a power wall, or a driver deciding to clock down. GPU Tweak III puts core clock, memory clock, voltage, power target and the fan curve in one panel, and overlays temperature, live clocks, utilisation and power draw on the game itself — so you watch which limit is reached first while it happens.
The fan curve is drawn, not typed: drag points per temperature band and decide for yourself where quiet stops mattering. A tuned combination saves as a profile, so everyday, benchmark and quiet-office settings are a click apart. Made by ASUS, but not restricted to their own cards.
Full clock and voltage control: core and memory clocks, voltage, power limit and temperature limit are each adjustable, with a one-click OC scanner that finds a stable curve for the specific card.
In-game overlay: per-device temperature, live clocks, utilisation, power draw and frame rate sit on top of the game, with position and fields configurable, so nothing has to be checked by alt-tabbing.
Custom fan curves: draw the curve across temperature bands — silent under light load, full speed when it matters — instead of living with the vendor's single compromise.
Power Detector+: reports the state of the power connectors and the current on each rail, so a 6-pin or 8-pin that is not fully seated, or a rail carrying more than its share, shows up on screen.
Performance logging: records frame rate and hardware data over a run so a before-and-after comparison is evidence rather than an impression.
Switchable profiles: keep several complete setups and swap between them rather than re-dragging sliders each time.
