PlayIt Live

PlayIt Live

Free radio playout automation

Description

Running an internet station, a campus channel or a live event — keeping songs back to back with no dead air, hitting the top-of-hour on time, dropping ads where they belong — is impossible to do by clicking one track at a time. PlayIt Live is built for exactly that: drag songs into a playlist with hourly load points as a timeline and it plays them one after another automatically, fading, back-timing and inserting time announcements and ads where you scheduled them.

The interface fills the screen so the common actions are within reach, which matters when you change something mid-broadcast without leaving a gap. A track library on the right drops into the playlist in order, and the top of the window pins the next three tracks so you can switch on the spot. There is a free edition whose core playout is enough on its own; more advanced capabilities — certain effects, remote control, integrations — come as plugins. It suits internet radio, community broadcast and live-event playout.

Features

Automatic playout: a playlist with hourly load points acts as a timeline so tracks segue on their own and the top of the hour is never missed.

Drag-and-drop scheduling: the track library drops into the playlist in order, and the next three tracks stay pinned at the top for on-the-fly changes.

Fades and back-timing: tracks cross-fade automatically and music beds under voice, so the joins stay smooth with no dead air.

Time signals and ad breaks: insert top-of-hour announcements, station IDs and ads at set times, played automatically in their scheduled slots.

Plugins: core playout is free, with remote control, extra effects and integrations added as plugins when you need them.
