4DAnyone is an open-source project aimed at dynamic 3D digital human generation, capable of converting character videos into 4D human models that can be viewed from different angles. For content creators, this means that a segment of character material that originally only contains fixed camera angles has the potential to transform into dynamic 3D assets usable from multiple perspectives, offering great imaginative possibilities in scenarios such as virtual humans, digital content production, and character reconstruction.
Software Features
Dynamic 3D Digital Human Generation: 4DAnyone can generate dynamic 4D human models based on character videos, ensuring that the generated results not only move but also strive to retain the original character's identity features.
Multi-Angle Viewing: The generated digital humans are no longer limited to a single shooting angle from the original video; they can be observed from multiple perspectives, effectively expanding ordinary video materials into reusable three-dimensional dynamic assets.
RCP Reference Compression Mechanism: Multi-angle video generation typically requires a large amount of reference information, but the increasing reference content can lead to high memory pressure. RCP compresses the reference information that would normally grow linearly during the generation process to a fixed budget, akin to using a "summary" instead of complete historical content, thereby reducing memory usage.
TCR Cross-Batch Consistency: Due to computational power and memory limitations, multi-angle content often needs to be generated in batches, which can easily lead to structural drift of the characters between different batches. TCR transmits structural information between different generation batches, allowing subsequent batches to reference the character states from previous ones, reducing inconsistencies in facial shapes and body structures of the same person across different angles.
Maintaining Character Identity Consistency: From the project display effects, 4DAnyone emphasizes character consistency across different perspectives, aiming to achieve dynamic movement, recognizable identity, and structural uniformity from different angles, which is a crucial aspect of dynamic digital human generation.
Supports Cross-Character Transfer: In addition to reconstructing individual characters, it also possesses certain cross-character transfer capabilities, allowing related dynamic and structural generation abilities to be applied to different character roles, suitable for further research on digital humans, virtual characters, and 4D human generation workflows.
In simple terms, 4DAnyone addresses not just "turning a person into 3D", but attempts to ensure that the same person remains recognizable across different generation batches and viewing angles, which is crucial for truly usable dynamic digital human assets.
