FnKey

FnKey

Push-to-talk voice input

Description

Voice input needs opening then stopping with clicks, which isn't smooth. FnKey uses push-to-talk: a push-to-talk voice input tool—hold to speak, release to stop, hold the Fn key to speak and release to insert the transcribed text at the cursor, natural like a walkie-talkie, always in the menu bar, handy for dictating a quick sentence. A macOS app, open source.

Features

Push to talk: Hold Fn to speak, release to stop.

Voice input: Insert transcribed text at the cursor.

On call: Always in the menu bar.

Open and free: An open-source project, free to use.
